Volunteer with SRPI

SRPI is powered entirely by volunteer Graduate Research Fellows and Undergraduate Analysts — no paid staff. If you want hands-on experience in counterintelligence research, publishing, and national security scholarship, this is where it starts.

Volunteer Roles

Where You Fit In

Doctoral Volunteers

Lead working groups and research projects, host and contribute to the Common Ground podcast, peer review articles for the Sentinel Review and Sentinel Journal, and mentor graduate contributors across SRPI programs.

Graduate Student Volunteers

Participate in working groups and research events, write articles for SRPI publications, coordinate and support events, assist in research projects, and support social media and communications campaigns.

Undergraduate Analysts

Support ongoing research projects (including the Targeting Minds OSINT database), assist with literature review and source validation, and build the analytical foundation for a future Ambassador designation. See the Ambassador Program.

Editorial & Peer Reviewers

Serve on the Sentinel Journal Editorial Board or Sentinel Review Peer Review Panel, evaluating submissions for technical quality, scholarly merit, and publication readiness. See The Sentinel Team for current board composition.

Our Model

A Volunteer-Powered Institute

SRPI has no paid staff. Every research project, publication, and program is carried out by volunteer Graduate Research Fellows and Undergraduate Analysts working alongside the Board of Directors. Volunteer capacity is real but finite — we value contributors who can commit steady, reliable time to a project or role.
